Located on Wilhelmshöher Allee in Kassel, Café Correus is a delightful local café that captures the essence of community and warmth. With its inviting atmosphere, this café transforms a simple cup of coffee into a cherished experience. As you step through its doors, you're welcomed by friendly smiles and the rich aroma of freshly brewed beverages, promising a delightful escape from the hustle of everyday life.

What sets Café Correus apart is not just its coffee but also the charm of its patrons and the nostalgia of its setting. Many customers have expressed their fondness for the café's old-fashioned vibe. As Tassilo von Gleichen mentions, “It’s an old-fashioned place. So are the people who go there.” This sentiment resonates throughout the café, inviting you to take a seat, sip your coffee, and perhaps strike up a conversation with one of the many regulars who frequent this cozy spot.

While the café serves a variety of beverages, the real star is undoubtedly the selection of pastries. As noted by Valentyna Dybkova, her experience was made even more delightful with a piece of apple pie generously offered by the staff. The perfect combination of sweet and tart apples enveloped in a flaky crust creates a dessert that will warm your heart and utterly enchant your taste buds. Regulars like Adean Danon appreciate the “nice atmosfire” and the sense of familiarity among guests, making Café Correus feel like a second home.

Though the café has received feedback about occasional wasp distractions in the outdoor seating area, the overall experience remains overwhelmingly positive. It’s a testament to the friendly staff and affordable prices, as highlighted by Dani Daoud’s comment on the café’s welcoming atmosphere despite minor nuisances. Plus, if you're at the nearby train station in need of a moment of respite, Daniel Jackson suggests looking for the hidden staircase leading to the café, promising a more charming and relaxed environment than the bustling competition downstairs.

Café Correus isn’t just about the coffee and the cake; it’s about the bonds formed over shared moments and the joy of community. So whether you’re a local or just passing through Kassel, make sure to drop by this gem and enjoy a taste of what makes this café truly special.

Friendly staff and cheap prices but the wasps are so annoying though.

I made an order, a nice lady made me a coffee and put a cake on a plate... when it was time to pay, I found out that they only accept cash. I could only pay with Apple Pay. So I apologized and decided to leave... but the man in line offered to pay for my coffee. And the lady who works in this cafe gave me a piece of pie for free. It made my morning :) Coffee and apple pie were delicious btw. I will definitely come back with cash! Thank you

It’s an old fashioned place. So are the people who go there. But the cafe and cake is great.

Secret Tip if you're at the train station and need to kill some time. Much more charming and relaxed with a much better choice of food, drinks and desserts than the competition on the ground floor of the train station. The staircase is a bit hidden off to the side of the ground floor but worth the search!
